These structures are usually made of steel, concrete or combination of both. Pipe racks generally support pipes, power cables and instrument cable trays in power plants, petrochemicals, chemical industry and refinery. Pipe racks may also support mechanical equipments and access platforms. These structures are referred as pipe supports.
